This painting was completed 30 years before the above works (and yet, it seems that only a few days have gone by). It represents the hope of perfect rest or resting in the heart of God.
When it was finished in 1977, 2007 seemed a long way off, in fact I did not think I would be alive to see 2007, but by God's grace I made this far.
It is hard for me to put into words everything these paintings (the cross and the number 7) mean to me. It's all just a part of the wonderful mystery of God and His incomprehensible love for us. It's the paradox of: life is hard, but Jesus loves me!
