1995, oil on canvas - 36x48" A life that has never been fully lived or truly realized is the theme of this work. Never truly awake and alive, or being able to find true rest and to sleep. Life starts with the feet coming out of the earth (birth). The body is light, but soon begins to darken. Darkness consumes the light. This painting shows a life lived without joy.
