"Wits End"

1996, oil on canvas - 36x60x48"

In this work I express the state I find myself in all too often. The state of being at the end of myself, of not being able to think clearly or rationally. What do I do next? How do I change this? How do I get out of here? I don't know, I don't know, is the only answer that comes back to my question. This is what "Wits End" is about. But it is also a way of laughing at myself in those times of utter frustration.
